Invite A Friend To Church

One way our faith becomes active is when we put into words what God has done for us.
Words of witness and acts of genuine hospitality directed toward our friends, relatives and neighbors create the opportunity through which the Holy Spirit brings others into a relationship with Christ and his church.

Friends bring friends to Jesus. “Come and see” are the operative words.
The disciple plants seeds and invites; the Holy Spirit works the miracle of faith and conversion. The message is Jesus, the Savior of the world. Jesus is the real hope for real life! Spread the news!
The messenger may be a person sharing her faith story, a young adult inviting a friend to worship or a congregational event (Advent family event; Zion Christmas social), or a member praying with a friend in crisis. The messenger may be you!

Invite a friend to church!
Research shows that there are three key times when unchurched people are more inclined to seek a relationship with God and the church: Christmas, Easter and Mother’s Day are some of those times. Seekers, drawn by the pull of religious memory, family history or cultural influence are even more likely at these time to respond positively to a sincere invitation than at other times of the years.
+ Does attending worship bring you peace and comfort and help you to focus on what is really important in life?
+ Do you know Zion as a place where you are accepted and loved?
+ Do the sermons you hear emphasize God’s love for all persons?
+ Do you love to hear our fabulous organ and great choir?

All of these are good reasons to invite a friend to church!
85% of people come to faith and a relationship with Christ and the church over a period of time. This happens most often when caring friends invite. Invited friends discover the love of God through genuine relationships modeled by God’s people.
